The Connecticut: New England’s Great River
December 10, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Please join the Hanover Conservancy and Mascoma Chapter of the Audubon Society for the first presentation in MCAS’s 2019-2020 Winter Speaker Series! This event is to take place on Tuesday, December 10 beginning 7:00 p.m. in the Mayer Room of Hanover’s Howe Library. The talk is free and open to the public.
We are delighted that the inaugural presenter will be the Hanover Conservancy’s Executive Director Adair Mulligan. Adair’s topic will be “The Connecticut: New England’s Great River.”
Adair is well-versed in the Connecticut’s story. Her breadth of knowledge on the subject is far-ranging whether describing its natural beauty or its essential place in New England’s development from the time of the indigenous people to the present.
Adair’s talk will be surveying those topics as well as discussing the challenges that lie ahead both for maintaining the river’s health and in keeping secure its integral role in the region’s life.
