Pine Park cleanup for National Trails Day

June 1, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join forces with the Pine Park Association for this fun workday clearing recent logging work at the park! We’ll be trimming branches from felled trees and consolidating the brush for chipping. Help make this transitional view a little neater and give back to this special park!

June 1 is National Trails Day!

Please join us to help clean up Pine Park trails!

When: Saturday June 1, 2019 from 10 am to noon.
Where: Park along Occom Ridge Road between the DOC house and Clement Road.
What to bring: work gloves, steel-tooth rakes and pruning saws if you have them.
What to wear: sturdy shoes suitable for trails.

Why: A substantial number of dead and diseased trees were cut down in Pine Park this past winter. There is a lot of debris in the trails as a result of the logging operations. We need to remove brush from the trails to improve them for walking.

If you have any questions, please email HanoverTrails@gmail.com

Sponsored by: Pine Park Association, Hanover Conservancy, Dartmouth College, and the Town of Hanover.
