Accessible Trails

Accessible Trails

In line with our Mission & Vision, UVTA is committed to making the outdoors available and accessible to all. With our tools and trail building expertise, UVTA has become a lead organization for building accessible trails in the region to expand outdoor equity and ensure people have access to nature regardless of physical limitations.

In 2024, we became one of six partner organizations included in the Vermont Trail Accessibility Hub and through a VOREC Community Grant Program, UVTA will work collaboratively with other partners to continue opening trails to larger populations, including those with differences in physical mobility.

If your group is interested in building an accessible trail or updating an existing trail to meet accessibility standards, complete this Trail Accessibility Interest Form and we will reach out to you for an assessment!

This work has been completed by the UVTA Staff and participants in the Upper Valley High School Trail Corps program. Here are some photos of our trail builders in action!
