Lake Morey in Fairlee, VT (also the location of our UVTA Skate-a-Thon event) was featured in an essay in today’s New York Times. The essay titled: Searching for a River to Skate Away On by Joyce Maynard beautifully details her journey to finding a natural body of frozen water to skate on when she’s brought to Lake Morey. Here, she enjoys the beautiful resort and the Lake Morey Skating trail (the longest skating trail in the United States!).
