Trail Stewardship Consultation and Trail Construction
Upper Valley Trails Alliance staff includes John Taylor, Trail Programs Director, whose expertise, guidance and technical support are available in trail planning, design and construction for landowners, municipalities, conservation districts, trail committees and others. An initial consultation is offered at no charge; subsequent services are available for an hourly fee.
Trail Stewardship Workshops
The Upper Valley Trails Alliance conducts trail stewardship workshops for community groups, conservation commissions, trails committees, individual landowners and others interested in gaining trail construction and maintenance skills. This can be for walking and hiking trails, or may include special events such as the "Boston Lot Lake" International Mountain Biking Association’s bike trail construction workshop.
Trail Tool Shed
The Upper Valley Trails Alliance has an assortment of tools for trail building and maintenance, such as grubbing hoes, shovels, pick mattocks, and rock bars available for loan to organizational and individual members. Also available is a complete kit for a Bicycle Rodeo, a fun way to provide bicycle safety training, including a bicycle repair tool kit and pumps.
