Trails Fairs

Winter Weekends

The second weekend in January is designated as the Lake Morey Winter Weekend, consisting of the Lake Morey WinterFest at the Hulbert Outdoor Center, located at the north end of Lake Morey in Fairlee, VT and the  the Skate-athon hosted by the Lake Morey Resort at the south end of the lake. Several hundred people participate in these events, which were selected by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce as being one of Vermont’s Top Ten Winter Events, 2007-2008.  WinterFest, produced in partnership with the Hulbert Outdoor Center , the Lake Morey Resort, and the Upper Valley Trails Alliance, features cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice skating and other winter activities. The second event is a non-competitive day of ice skating on the Lake Morey Ice Skating Trail, and is a fundraiser for the Trails Alliance to help support maintenance of the ice skating trail.
