 Books and Guides for Kids!

As I relaxed in the heat and watched my daughter catch salamanders in our local pond this weekend, I realized that yes, we are really in the middle of our short summer in the Upper Valley. But like any other New Englander, I realized that the fall months with their cool days and changing colors are not far off. I started prioritizing activities for what’s left of time off from school, and at the top of the list is spending time OUTDOORS with the kids. There are many ponds, lakes, brooks, hidden swimming holes and trails to explore in our community, as wells as the wonders of our yards. I’ve listed some wonderful nature stories for kids to get us all thinking about exploring outside, as well as some guides and activity books to provide some ideas for outdoor activities.
